The turnover rate in the departments I worked in was ridiculous and I saw a lot of really good employees get terminated within their probationary period due to bad luck with weather and family emergencies while others stayed on for years despite consistently displaying gross incompetence. I can't count how many times I was told I was valued and being heard just to have nothing change or have management demonstrate that they clearly weren't listening to what was being said.

On top of this, management seemed more interested in placating employees and being liked rather than actually addressing the root of different issues. They constantly promote how big they are on internal growth, but management won't train or support their current staff to become confident and qualified enough to achieve that growth. Getting to learn about and be exposed to Kalispel culture was wonderful. I worked with a lot of amazing people and there were points when the department really felt like a second family.
